Haley Rebecca Case

Haley Rebecca Case, 18, of Fort Plain passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born on April 22, 2003 to Richard and Kristie (Voudry) Case. Haley was a 2021 graduate of Johnstown High School where she loved spending time playing field hockey, lacrosse and being with friends. She was the younger sister to Brianna Case. They were inseparable from Haley’s birth, and the bond they created growing up together was unbreakable. Haley’s loyalty to her lifelong friend Abby V. was undeniable. Haley loved, and was loved by her significant other, Adam Horan who was very good at handling her sass. Family was important to Haley, as her heart and personality were forever shaping the lives of her younger cousins. Haley was a role model for each and every one. Her love did not stop with family and friends. Her dog, Henry was spoiled. She was constantly thinking of the next treat or sweater he needed. Happiness was a quality Haley brought to every life she touched. Haley is survived by her parents Richard and Kristie, her sister Brianna; her great-grandmother Valla Case; her grandfather Richard Case (Hope) and grandmother Stacey Case; her aunts, Rebecca (Todd) Brownell, Justine (Rich) Case-Fitzgerald, Michelle (Joe) Graefe, Lisa (James) Summerfield, and Bobbie Jo Case; as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her great-grandmother, Rose Voudry and grandparents, Richard and Lynn Voudry. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc., 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street), Johnstown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 22, at 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 149 South Main Street, Gloversville. Internment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, NY with a reception to immediately follow at the Sammonsville Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice or toward a Scholarship Fund which will be created in Haley's name. Each year a graduating senior from Johnstown High School who participated in the Field Hockey program will be awarded this scholarship.
