Rose Marie (Sirtoli) Haak

Rose Marie {Sirtoli} Haak, age 68, passed away on September 1, 2026, at the Mountain View Hospice and Palliative Care House in Gloversville, NY after a seven-month ordeal with ovarian cancer. Rose was born on February 26, 1958, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, to Angelo and Mary Sirtoli. Rose has several siblings, John David Sirtoli; Paul Sirtoli (Joanne); Anne T Begeal (Randy); John Anthony Sirtoli (Eileen). Rose was blessed with one son, James Terranova. Nephews and nieces Aaron Sirtoli, Rebekah (Sirtoli) White, Jordan Sirtoli, Brady Begeal, Matthew Begeal. Rose is predeceased by her parents Mary and Angelo Sirtoli, brother John David Sirtoli, sister Anne Begeal. Rose attended Saint Mary's of Mt. Carmel Church for elementary school and earned her GED from the Gloversville School District. Rose was a candy stripper at the Nathun Littauer Hospital. She was employed at St. Thomas Leather Corp. Following the birth of her son James, she performed various domestic cleaning jobs for friends and family until her sickness. Rose was an avid outdoor woman who enjoyed gardening and working outdoor chores for family. She especially enjoyed fishing, hiking with family members, as well as family holiday/summer gatherings. Prior to the ten-day hospice care, Rose spent the last few months of her life at the Sarah Jane Sanford House for women in Amsterdam, NY. There, she enjoyed the company of newfound friends, bingo, and the wonderful food. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, at 10 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville. Rose's cremains will be buried at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at the grave site with her mom and dad at a future date. On behalf of Rose, we would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Devin Cope, Randy and Darlene Begeal for their attentive care for Rose. Also, our deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at the Jane Sanford House, and Mountain View Hospice Care House who were instrumental in making Rosie's last few months of her existence comfortable. A special thank you to Father Juanito Aspric who gave Rose last rites and blessing allowing Rose to finally pass in peace.
