Victor Mosetti

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Victor Mosetti. He passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2026, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. Victor was born in Gloversville on March 9, 1945, to the late Bruno and Margaret Javerone Mosetti. Victor proudly served his country with the United States Army. Following the Army he was employed at General Electric in Schenectady, NY as a machinist for many years. Victor was a jokester by nature and loved to make people laugh. He loved being surrounded by family and friends celebrating holidays and birthdays. He was involved in softball leagues including one where he pitched a no hitter. He loved spending time on his Harley, camping, and spending time in Florida in the winter so he could ride more. Victor is survived by his loving wife Mary Yost Mosetti; his children Vanessa, Scott (Tina), Greg (Kristen). His stepchildren Sara (Ed), Vicki (Mike), Jennifer, Rachael. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren Jessica (Alex), Scottie (Catherine), Deryk, Rachel (Tyler), Brittni, Andrew (Lexie), Gregory Jr., Rebecca (Craig), Kyle. His 11 step grandchildren Zachary, Dakota, Madison, Hudson, Kameron, Calliope, Landon, Tyler, Owen, Shawn and Peyton; Great-Grandchildren Dillon, Gabriella, Emma, Mauriana, Adrien, Carter. Great Great Granddaughter LaiLani. Also surviving is his brother John (Bonnie), his mother-in-law Marion, his brothers-in-law Merle Jr., and Michael, sister-in-law Michelle (Jeff), his cousin Anthony Polenski, who was like a brother, his fur babies Cooper and Amigo, several nephews, cousins and many close friends. Victor was predeceased by his former wife Jeanette, his daughter Vickie Bornt, his sister Lucille Capano, his niece Luanne Marek, his father-in-law Merle Yost Sr. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday March 17th, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 pm at Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc., 111 County Highway 106, (Corner of Route 29 & Black St), Johnstown, NY. Followed by a 6:00 pm funeral service with Rev. Matthew Wetsel. THE FAMILY ASKS THAT EVERYONE ATTENDING PLEASE FEEL FREE TO WEAR YOUR HARLEY GEAR AND BLUE JEANS. Burial will take place in the spring at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown, NY and will be followed by a Celebration of Victor’s life. Time and place will be announced.
