Marion Bloom Brower

August 6, 1930 - January 25, 2022

Marion Bloom Brower, 91 of Mayfield passed away Tuesday at River Ridge Living Center. Born in Yonkers, NY August 6,1930, the daughter of the late Edwin and Marion Baude Brower. She graduated from Gorton H.S. in Yonkers in 1948 and Suny Delhi School of Agriculture 1951. Marion retired from NY Dairy Herd Improvement Coop in 1998. She was a member of the former Old Tryon Kennel Club, and Sacandaga Obedience Club, former member of Fulton Co. Farm Bureau, Board of Directors and Secretary of the Board and member of the Fulton Co. Farm Bureau Women's Committee. Marion also taught Church School at the former Sacred Heart Church. In 1953 she married Carlton Brower who died in 1988. Survived by her daughters, Mary Louise Brower and Georganna Whitaker, sons, Michael, Daniel, Charles, Anthony, Vincent, and William Brower, Mark (Mariann) Brower, George (Mari-Ann) Brower, and Matthew (Beth) Brower, 25 Grandchildren, and brother Edwin Bloom Jr. Pre-deceased by her sister, Carole Sweeney, and stepbrother Tony (Francesca) Zilli. Friends may call Saturday January 29, 2022, from 9-10AM, at Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville or St. Mary's Institute, 10 Kopernick Road, Amsterdam.
