Roy Earl Warner DeCristofaro, 46, of Gloversville, has tragically departed from this life as a result of the current opioid epidemic. He joins his beloved brother Joe, who also passed in this horrific manner only 18 months ago. Roy was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was kind and generous and had a keen mind and a truly remarkable thirst for knowledge. Roy always tried to comfort others despite his own pain, both physical and emotional. Born December 22,1971 in Gloversville to Rita Yost and Roy Warner (deceased); graduated from Mayfield Central High School and also attended FMCC. He is survived by his loving mother, Rita Yost of Gloversville; his adoptive father, Joe DeCristofaro of Johnstown; brother, Thomas (Jen) Yost; sisters, Hanna Yost of Gloversville and Tracy Pagan of Schenectady; nephews, Jacob, Thomas, and James Yost. The light of Roy’s life was his son, Julian DeCristofaro, who brought such joy to his life and was the best thing to happen to him. Roy also leaves behind special cousins, Serena Allen, Vanessa Ellis, and Nate Auty. Many of his uncles, aunts, cousins and friends will miss him and love him forever.
