Donna Teresea (Skwarek) Loveless

Donna Teresea (Skwarek) Loveless of Gloversville, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, after a long illness. She was born on February 7, 1948 the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn Skwarek. Donna moved to Broadalbin in her late teens. She met and married her late husband Royal Marshall Loveless Sr. Donna graduated from FMCC with a degree in accounting. After overcoming many hardships she worked as a Domestic Violence Advocate and then as a long time employee at H&R Block as a Senior Tax Advisor. Donna grew up in Manhattan, NYC with her sister Judith Skwarek (Giglio). Growing up Donna enjoyed music, song, dance and theater, performing in many plays produced by The Boys Club. She spent the last 20 years of her life enjoying life and reconnecting with many of her childhood friends and family. Donna had a wry, witty sense of humor and loved a play on words. She was a collector of many things and enjoyed numerous hobbies. Among the many, Donna's favorites were concerts with Laurel, travelling with Priscilla, rock digging with Leah, games, reading, swimming with manatees, star gazing and astronomy. She loved her coffee, cartoons especially Eeyore and Rocky & Bullwinkle, jumping in puddles, pets and plants. Donna enjoyed trips to the casino with friends. Donna's eyes lit with anything sparkly. Donna was a friend to many and will be missed by all. She had the gift of gab and a knack for making friends everywhere she went. She was a fighter to the end and went down swinging. Donna is survived by her five children Laural Evelyn Loveless (Walton), Royal Marshall, Jr., Dixie Joe Loveless (Edel), Donna Priscilla Loveless and Leah Marie Loveless; also her four grandchildren Ashley Elizabeth, Haley Reign, Vincent Royal and Shelby Lee. She had a soft spot in her heart for her son Royal Jr., and admired Dixie Joe and her nomadic ways. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Amico Funeral Home, 150 S. Main Street, Gloversville, from 5-7:00 pm, followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service with Pastor John Steenburg, officiating of Cranberry Creek Community Church where Donna was a member. Donna will receive her final wish and be interred at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ with her mother Evelyn. A graveside service will be held for family and close friends on Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067. Laughter and smiles are encouraged!
