Gloria Helen (Semione) Perrella

Gloria Helen (Semione) Perrella, 91 of Gloversville passed away peacefully on the morning of April 13, 2021 at Palatine Nursing Home. Born on October 9,1929 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Angelina Pedone Semione. After graduating from Gloversville High School, she worked for the local phone company and Decca Records as a tele typist. Gloria was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and Sacred Heart Church where she sang in their choirs along with her husband Robert. On June 22,1957 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in Gloversville, Gloria married Robert Eugene Perrella She was a lifelong resident of Gloversville until 2019 when she entered Palatine Nursing Home to be with Robert, who had been a resident since 2017. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, telling jokes and stories and making wonderful meals for family and friends. Gloria was a proud homemaker who loved her family dearly, and had a caring heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Perrella, her children, Michael Perrella of Gloversville, Angela Perrella of Cohoes, Edward Perrella (Jay DuBois) of Palatine Bridge, Mark (Kathleen) Perrella of Niskayuna and Stephen Perrella of San Diego, California, grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, and Kristen Perrella, and Stephanie Cozzolino, great grandchildren, David, Dylan, Kaitlyn and Rebecca. She also leaves behind her brother Joseph (Yolanda) Semione and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by her siblings, Louis (Geni) Semione, Arthur Semione, Jake (Theresa) Semione, Pat (Grace)Semione, Rose (Bruce) Frank, Anna (William) Lavender, Virginia (Joseph) Fiorito and Elizabeth Grich; her nieces, Marilyn (Jamie) Benetiz, Carol Marie Semione and Margaret Grich. Friends may call Sunday April 18, 2021 from 3-7PM at Amico Funeral Home, 150 South Main St. Gloversville, where a prayer service will be held Monday April 19, 2021 at 9:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Holy Spirit at 10AM. Interment to follow in Mt Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
