Patricia Ann (Lafountain) Jepsen

Patricia Ann (Lafountain) Jepsen of Gloversville returned to God on February 5th, 2022. Patricia was born on April 24th, 1957 to the late Theodore LaFountain and late Rosalind Rote in Perth, NY. Pat left her four sisters Joann Knights, Penny Young, Judith Herdklotz, and Pamala LaFountain. Pat was blessed with Jerry Thomas Meador (47) (Brenda Lynn) and Stacey Lorraine Adams (41) (Michael John) with her first husband Jerry Thomas Meador. Pat was later remarried to Gregory Allen Jepsen Senior on September 1st, 1989, sharing almost 40 years together. Patricia’s blessing grew with Greg and their three additional children Gregory Allen Jepsen Junior (36) (Katie Joyce), Jessica Renee Syron (34) (Joshua Michael), and James Theodore Jepsen (deceased 1/2/2014). Patricia was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren Caleb Adams (16), Connor Adams (14), Chase Adams (13), Gregory (Stevie) Jepsen (19), Chloe Jepsen (14), Luke Jepsen (10), Ella Jepsen (5), Jaiden Williams (15), Kaelyn Jepsen (13), Tyler McCown Junior (11) and Owen Syron (10). She also left several cousins. Patricia attended Perth Central School as a young girl and later received her GED from Gloversville High School. She went on to take some college classes at FMCC. Pat was baptized as a Christian through the Perth Bible Church. Patricia was a hard worker and loved serving others. She worked at Lexington ARC for 25 years as a direct support professional, where she assisted individuals with special needs. Simultaneously, she worked at the Leader Herald for several years as a district manager instilling superb work ethic in her children who all delivered papers at such young ages. She retired from working at the ARC in 2014. During Pat’s free time, she loved crocheting beautiful blankets for all her family. She enjoyed harvesting the fruits and vegetables from her yard. One of her favorite pastimes was playing online games most recently it was Klondike on Facebook. Pat really loved watching cartoons even if they were just on in the background. Pat had the biggest smile even in the toughest of times. Pat will be remembered for her kindness and desire to help everyone. Her generosity to others never ended, if there was someone in need, she helped them as much as she could. She was heavily involved with her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling and spending time with them. She could be found regularly on video chats with the grandchildren. Her services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 37 South Market Street, Johnstown NY on 2/9/22. Viewing will start at 10am with funeral services at 12pm with refreshments after the service.
